Your profile is your personal identity in Embellish — your name, email, avatar, and password. These details appear across the platform anywhere your name shows up: in comments, project history, team lists, and more.
Accessing your profile
Click your profile menu at the bottom of the left sidebar, then go to Settings → Profile.
Updating your name
Your profile has two name fields:
First Name (required)
Last Name (required)
Edit either field and click Save changes. Your updated name will appear across the platform immediately.
Changing your email address
To update the email address associated with your account:
Edit the Email Address field on your profile page
Click Save changes
Check your inbox at the new email address for a confirmation link
Click the link to confirm the change
Important: Your email won't actually change until you click the confirmation link. Until then, you'll see a yellow banner on your profile page showing "Email change pending confirmation" with the new address.
If you need to:
Resend the confirmation — Click the "Resend email" button in the banner
Cancel the change — Click "Cancel change" in the banner to revert to your original email
Your avatar
Your avatar appears next to your name in comments, team lists, and the sidebar. You can upload a custom image or remove it to use the default.
Uploading an avatar
Click the upload area on your profile page (or drag and drop an image onto it)
A cropping tool appears — adjust the crop area and zoom to frame your photo
Click Upload to save
Your image will be cropped to a square and resized automatically. Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP, with a maximum file size of 5MB.
Removing your avatar
If you have a custom avatar and want to remove it, click the Remove button next to your current avatar image. You'll revert to the default avatar.
Changing your password
The password section is below your profile details on the same page.
Enter your Current Password
Enter your New Password (minimum 6 characters)
Enter the new password again in Confirm New Password
Click Update password
You'll need to know your current password to set a new one. If you've forgotten it, log out and use the password reset flow on the login page.
