The Brand Personality section answers a simple question: if your brand were a person, how would they speak?
These five settings shape the tone of every piece of AI-generated content in your workspace. Instead of describing your voice in a paragraph and hoping the AI interprets it correctly, you set precise traits that directly control how the writing comes across.
You'll find these dropdowns in the second section of your Brand Profile page.
The five personality traits
Formality
Controls structure, vocabulary, sentence style, and level of polish.
Option |
What it sounds like |
|---|---|
Very Formal |
Polished, professional, academic, ceremonious |
Formal |
Respectful, structured, business-professional |
Neutral / Standard |
Clear, clean, straightforward |
Casual |
Relaxed, conversational |
Very Casual |
Simple, laid-back, everyday language |
How to choose: Think about how you'd write to your favorite client. If you'd say "I'd love to share something with you" — that's casual. If you'd write "I'm pleased to present the following" — that's formal. Most solo entrepreneurs land somewhere between Neutral and Casual.
Warmth
Controls emotional openness, empathy, and friendliness.
Option |
What it sounds like |
|---|---|
Warm & Encouraging |
Supportive, uplifting |
Friendly |
Personable, kind, approachable |
Neutral-Warm |
Calm, lightly human, balanced |
Dry / Matter-of-Fact |
Minimal emotion, direct |
Cool & Reserved |
Professional distance |
How to choose: Read your last few emails or social posts. Do you lean into encouragement and personal connection, or do you keep things more matter-of-fact? Neither is wrong — it's about matching what feels natural for you.
Energy
Controls pacing, enthusiasm, and expressive style.
Option |
What it sounds like |
|---|---|
Energetic / Upbeat |
Lively, enthusiastic, motivational |
Confident |
Assured, authoritative, leading |
Calm |
Steady, measured, grounded |
Quiet / Minimalist |
Sparse, thoughtful, concise |
How to choose: Think about the vibe of your brand. Are you the coach who brings the energy to the room, or the one who creates a calm space for reflection? This setting captures that.
Creativity
Controls how inventive, metaphorical, or fun the writing is.
Option |
What it sounds like |
|---|---|
Poetic / Lyrical |
Expressive, imagery-rich, artistic |
Creative / Craft-Forward |
Elegant, refined |
Playful |
Light, fun, whimsical |
Humorous |
Witty, clever |
Serious |
No frills, no creativity, just clarity |
How to choose: Do your emails use metaphors and storytelling, or do you get straight to the point? If you've ever described a concept using an unexpected analogy, you're probably on the creative end. If your readers come to you for clarity and directness, lean toward Serious.
Persuasion
Controls how assertive or persuasive the AI should be.
Option |
What it sounds like |
|---|---|
Soft & Subtle |
Light nudging, gentle suggestions |
Balanced |
Benefits-forward without pressure |
Direct & Action-Oriented |
Clear asks, assertive calls to action |
High Conviction |
Strong positioning, bold claims |
How to choose: Think about your sales emails. Do you prefer a soft invitation — "if this resonates, I'd love to have you" — or a direct ask — "this is for you, here's the link, doors close Friday"? Match the setting to your natural selling style.
How these settings affect your content
Every time the AI generates content — whether it's a full email draft, a subject line, or a rewrite — it reads your personality settings and adjusts its output accordingly.
For example, if you set Warmth to "Warm & Encouraging" and Formality to "Casual," the AI will write with supportive language and a conversational tone. Set Energy to "Quiet / Minimalist" and Creativity to "Serious," and the output will be spare, direct, and understated.
The combination of all five traits creates a unique voice fingerprint for your brand. No two configurations produce the same tone.
Changing your settings
Just select a new option from any dropdown. Changes save automatically (you'll see the save indicator in the top-right corner), and the new settings apply to all future AI-generated content in this workspace.
Changing your personality settings won't retroactively alter content you've already written or generated — it only affects new AI output going forward.
Tips for getting it right
Start with your gut. Pick the options that feel closest to how you already write. You can always fine-tune later.
Read something you've written recently. Compare it to the trait descriptions. That's usually the fastest way to identify your natural settings.
Don't overthink it. These aren't permanent. If the AI output feels off, come back and adjust. Two or three tweaks usually get you dialed in.
