A workspace in Embellish is a focused space where your projects, creative context, and collaboration come together. Think of it as a home for a brand — everything related to that brand's email content lives here.
When you need a workspace
Most people start with one workspace that gets created when they first sign up. But you might want additional workspaces if you:
Run more than one brand or business
Manage email content for clients (each client gets their own workspace)
Want to separate personal projects from business ones
Each workspace has its own Brand Profile, projects, content, and team members — so nothing bleeds between them.
Creating a new workspace
To create a new workspace:
Click the workspace switcher at the top of the left sidebar
Select the option to create a new workspace
Step 1: Name your workspace — Give it a name that's easy to recognize (you can change this later). Something like "My Coaching Brand" or "Client — Sarah's Studio" works well.
Step 2: Add team members — This is optional. If you're working solo, you can skip this entirely.
Adding team members
If you do want to collaborate, you have two options during workspace creation:
Add existing team members — If people are already part of your organization, you can add them to this workspace and assign a role.
Invite new people — Enter an email address to send an invitation. They'll be able to join once they accept.
Available roles:
Admin — Full control over the workspace, including settings and member management
Editor — Can create and manage projects and content
Commenter — Can view and comment, but not edit
Viewer — Read-only access
Tip: Organization admins are automatically added to every new workspace with admin access. You'll see them listed and can't remove them during creation.
Click Create Workspace and you're done. You'll land on your new workspace's Projects page, ready to start creating.
Switching between workspaces
If you have multiple workspaces, switching is simple:
Click the workspace switcher at the top of the left sidebar
Select the workspace you want to switch to
Your most recently used workspace is remembered, so you'll always land back where you left off.
Workspace settings
To update your workspace name or manage members after creation, head to Settings → Workspaces from your profile menu.
