Managing Your Subscription

All subscription management happens through your billing settings. Here's how to view your plan, make changes, and handle common billing situations.

Viewing your current plan

Go to Settings → Billing from your profile menu. At the top you'll see your subscription status card showing:

  • Your current plan name (Spark, Flow, or Craft)

  • Your subscription status (Active, Trial, Past Due, etc.)

  • Your next billing date

Changing your plan

To upgrade, downgrade, or switch between monthly and annual billing:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing

  2. Click Manage Subscription

  3. You'll be taken to the customer portal where you can:

    • Upgrade or downgrade your plan

    • Switch between monthly and annual billing

    • View your upcoming invoice with the new pricing

Plan changes take effect immediately. If you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll be credited for the unused portion of your current plan and charged the prorated amount for the new one.

Updating your payment method

  1. Go to Settings → Billing

  2. Click Manage Subscription

  3. In the customer portal, update your card or payment method

This is especially important if you see a "Payment Failed" warning on your billing page.

Viewing invoices

Your complete invoice history is available in the customer portal:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing

  2. Click Manage Subscription

  3. Browse your past invoices and download receipts as needed

Canceling your subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing

  2. Click Manage Subscription

  3. Select the option to cancel in the customer portal

When you cancel:

  • Your subscription continues until the end of your current billing period

  • You keep full access to all features until that date

  • A notice appears on your billing page showing when your subscription will end

  • After the period ends, you'll be directed to the upgrade page to resubscribe if you want to continue

Cancellation isn't instant — you've already paid for the current period, so you get to use it.

Resubscribing after cancellation

If you've canceled and want to come back:

  1. Log in to Embellish — you'll be directed to the upgrade page

  2. Choose your plan

  3. Complete the checkout

Your workspace, projects, content, and Brand Profile are all still there. Resubscribing picks up right where you left off.

Note that resubscriptions don't include a free trial since you've already had one.

Subscription statuses explained

Status

What it means

Active

Everything is working normally. Your subscription is paid and current.

Trial

You're in your 14-day free trial. Full access, no charge yet.

Past Due

A payment attempt failed. Embellish will retry automatically. Update your payment method to resolve this.

Canceled

Your subscription has ended. Resubscribe to regain access.

Incomplete

Your initial checkout didn't complete. Try subscribing again.

Who can manage billing

Only Admins can access the billing settings page. If you're a Manager, Editor, or Viewer and need something changed, reach out to your organization's Admin.
